LeBron James is playing tonight on Martin Luther King Day. I couldn't help but celebrate both and give enormous praise to LeBron for understanding the MLK message and for helping to open up the I Promise School in Akron in 2018. (helps challenged children) Lebron missed 84 days of school in the 4th grade because of an unstable home life, and he as said that he knows more about what these disadvantaged kids are going through than they do. He understands that emotional support and safety at home is the key to kids being able to focus, and has made that a part of the IPS school; to educate the community and parents as well. Also, if the kids earn a 3.0 GPA, IPS will grant them a scholarship to The University of Akron. The trolls have criticized about Akron taxpayers having to pay for the school, but think of the bigger message! He took action and he put kids first. Did he have to get some financial help from sponsors and use his name to get funds from others - yes! We know MLK's famous words: : "I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." LeBron has certainly taken action and is keeping the dream alive. He is a shining example of giving back to community. Check it out: https://ipromise.school

Yes Gary I agree with you .Although, we would strive for a somewhat perfect world I cannot see that happening . Reason being negative and positive go hand and hand....A battery would be worthless without both... We cant go right all the time we will get left :-)
Here you have a man who is trying to give kids a better opportunity for a brighter future And people still manage to find a way to make something positive into a negative , So sad .
