Side by Side

Are you in the glitter world or you a grinder? 

In NYC, both sides are as clear as day.   There are the glitter nights:  drinking cocktails on rooftops. Central Park, the vast culture, education, and opportunities.  And there is the grind:  the subway horrors that test your faith in humanity, the constant stress,  expensive rents, dirty looks, and a pace that never slows down.  And all of this is transpiring in the same five minutes on the same block. This is how I see New York City, and this midwestern girl tries to make sense of it all through writing and photos! Something struck me as I was on the M15 bus the other day. We were on a block where the townhouses were four million + dollars, and a woman couldn't get off the bus because there was too much trash on the street. Only in NYC.
